Mini Pop Tarts - On a Stick

Grandma's Rolling Pin
I saw the cutest thing the other day on some one's website. These mini pop-tarts on a stick. I had to try because well I just had to.
So I made some homemade pie crust, which is not hard nor is it easy. It is just time consuming, kind of like the homemade dinner rolls I tried the other day. Anyways, I cute out small rectangles, filled them with peanut butter, forked them (that is what I like to call that fancy thing you do with the fork and the pressing to make the lines. I am sure my Grandma is shaking her fist at me because I don't know what it is technically called, but forking them makes me smile.)
They baked for ten minutes, cooled for 5 while I melted a Hershey's bar to drizzle on them. The final product needed some sprinkles, and since all we have is the festive little balls from Christmas we use them. I think they are really cute.
The boys enjoyed them, and really got excited about the third bite in when they tasted the peanut butter. They have decided that tomorrow we are to make them again, without the sticks in 2 flavors. Peanut butter with honey and chocolate with marshmallows. I want to try some pumpkin pie ones, cinnamon apple and perhaps even some with jelly inside. Maybe I will even make a vanilla drizzle for some. I even had an idea for Valentine's Day, but I will share those later.
Note to self however, buying pre-made pie crust would make this project faster, however I wouldn't get to use Grandma's rolling pin. If I do make the dough again, I will add a little vanilla and sugar to make it even yummier.

Ready for the oven.

A few of the finished product.

The first bite!

Yummy!
