Scout Sweepers

The Scouts cleaned up King Elementary today. I'm super proud of our Tigers. We had a good showing from our Den, and they were having fun picking up leaves, raking and sweeping. We only helped for 40 minutes as we had dance class to get to.
It gave me a chance to go over my ideas for the Blue and Gold Banquet that I volunteered to head this year. It is the annual Scout birthday party and I chose the theme of pirates. Basically so I could say we were "Sailing the ocean BLUE in search of GOLD." I also want the Den's to make centerpieces with the idea of  what do you treasure. I have some fun games planned and will have my Den try them out next week to see which ones work and are the most fun! It should be a good time and a chance to throw a party. I really do like doing that.
