What a difference Silly can make.

So my sister-in-law put together these cute jammies for Christmas Eve. I just loved them. Of course we lined the kids up for a photo, we do torture our children during family gatherings. I mean what kid doesn't want to stop playing with their BRAND NEW toys to take a picture right? Let alone 2 dozen pictures.
Well as you can see the 4 older kids were posing with their "Ok mom take the stupid picture already" smiles.

And it isn't bad. They know to stand cute, they are holding hands AND they are all looking at the camera.

Then we hustle Chase into the picture, and the smiles now say "Yes, we know. Keep looking at the camera, ignore Chase. Keep smiling." Man they are well trained.

Hey we even got Chase to look, snapped the picture and ta-da!

Other than they are all looking at the camera, it is BORING!

Then. Then we get some silly thrown in, thanks to Chase.

Notice the kids (all but Toby who broke the rule of not looking at the baby) don't see him coming.

Well he pushes Haley and Sam down, and we get to see some genuine smiles. Not to mention the giggles!

It is a much more fun photo. Of course I snapped about a dozen photos as they kept playing and laughing.

The one I love the most is this one. Even though they are not all looking at the camera, they all look happy and I can hear the joy in their laughter. I can also see the reaction of Sam, since Chase had nailed him in his privates.

Sometimes we need a little silly to help our joy come out. Thanks to a little guy we found our moment of silly.
